The Chamberlain Orange Learn Button Is Used To Program New Devices
Once you find the button on your opener you can use it to program new devices. If you get a new remote or install a wireless keypad you will need to program the two together.
Your opener should have a LED indicator light to communicate to you while you are programming the new devices. When you clear the memory on the opener, the LED will light up and stay that way for 30 seconds. Once it goes off, you know the unit is cleared out. Then you will need to push the learn button again to program it to the new devices.
Using the Orange Learn Button
Press and release the orange learn buttonon the opener's motor unit. The button's indicator light will illuminate continuously for 30 seconds.
During those 30 seconds press down and hold the button on the handheld remote control you want to use to operate the garage door.
When the motor unit's light begins blinking release the remote button. If the unit doesn't have a lightbulb you'll hear two clicks instead.
Test the remote to make sure it activates the door. If not, repeat the process.
