The new GDR-39 compatible replacement remote replaces the older discontinued garage door opener controls that use a fixed code of 9 or 12 binary switches. Matching the switches in the new remote to another working remote will set your code. When you do not have a working remote match the switches to your receiver on the motor unit hanging in the garage.

This remote includes battery, visor clip and programming instructions.
Remove the front access panel from the new remote control which will expose the 12-digit code switches.
Move the selector switch to the 12-dip switch setting, as shown above with the red arrow.
1. Locate the 12-switch opener receiver it should be under the lens cover next to the light bulb.
2. Match the 12-digit code switches in the remote and the receiver using a pen to move the switches up or down.
3. Additional remotes to the same opener are set by matching the code to a working remote.
4. Replace the remote access panel to test the operation.
Now press the remote button, the door should open or close at this time.
